BEN TALBERT WITH PALMERA CONSTRUCTION!

We’re excited to share Ben’s Blue Collar Hauler Story with you and how he uses a MAXX-D construction dump trailer to get work done! Here goes:

Who are you and where are you from?

“I’m Ben Talbert, father to 3, I’m married to my middle-school sweetheart, I am a veteran, and a business owner. We are from Virginia/Maryland area, but now live in Florida.”

What do you do for a living?

“I’m the owner of Palmera Construction. We are general contractors that focus on the marine space currently. We build docks, marinas, boatlifts, seawalls, and more on Florida’s Treasure Coast.”

How did you get started?

“I’ve been in the water since a kid. I was crabbing and then went into the U.S. Coast Guard right out of high school. My job there was driving boats. I was discharged from the military for injury to my knees, but the love of the water has never left me. I sold boats for a while, and still do that on the side a bit. I also delivered boats off and on.”

“But there’s something about being able to see a space and envision the best layout for a customer that gets me excited. We slowly started taking small boat lift installations on and things have skyrocketed from there.”

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

“Visually seeing a project come together is exciting. Watching a client get excited about their outdoor living space is a great perk as well. I also really appreciate working with my crew. Without them, Palmera wouldn’t be what it is. They’re hard-working and great at their craft. Leading them is an honor I experience daily.”

During summer and spring break, even Ben’s kids get to be involved in the business.

How does your construction dump trailer help you get work done?

“We are constantly hauling pilings, boat lifts, or other materials across the county for a job. Without these trailers, like our MAXX-D DJX Dump Trailer, we couldn’t get the job done at all. We not only want to haul materials, but we believe a professional look also shows the expertise that our crew brings to the table.”
