BLUE COLLAR HAULER SHEA LATTUS!

Every day there are honest, hard-working blue collar people out there moving stuff with their MAXX-D trailers to make a living. We believe in these people, and their ability to make their communities, and our country, a better place, one load at a time.

Shea was just like many of you out there–working a job he didn’t like just to put food on the table. But the difference is, Shea decided to do something about it: He started his own business using the background he had in machinery operation growing up.

We hope you are inspired by these stories to get out there and haul stuff to make a living too. Let’s build something great, guys!

SHEA LATTUS WITH ‘LATTUS LANDWORKS’!

Who are you and where are you from?

“Hey, guys my name is Shea Lattus, and I’m based in Union City, TN.”

What do you do for a living?

“I own and operate a company called Lattus Landworks, and we do septic installs, land reclamation, and general dirt work in the Union City, TN area.”

How did you get started?

“I was working a job that I didn’t see a future in. It felt like I was just a number to them. I’ve always ran all kinds of equipment growing up, so I decided to start my own business; to take a leap of faith if you will. It started my dirt work company part time by doing it on my off days and now it’s evolved into a full time gig.”

“When you’re getting something started, you have to surround yourself with good, knowledgeable people. In my area, if you do dirt work, it’s a small group of guys that you have to get to know. It’s almost like you have to get accepted by them. After that, everyone helps one another. You can call someone and get an opinion or help with a problem.”

“I’ve got some great guys I deal with on equipment and stuff like that. My go-to guy for trailers is Pat Miller at Sancrest Trailer Sales out of Rogersville, MO. He’s always done me right, and that’s why I drive 4 1/2 hours to buy from him.”

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

“My favorite part of what is do is seeing the transformation from beginning to end. I enjoy doing work I can be proud to put my name on and build my reputation.”

With a view like this, how could you not like your job?

How does your trailer help you get work done?

“My MAXX-D 34′ x 102” YDX Hydraulic Dovetail Flatbed is a reliable trailer, and the fit and finish is awesome on it. It does everything I ask out of it. This is my second MAXX-D trailer–the first one was a triple axle 83″ wide fender trailer, but I outgrew it into what I have now. Now I’m actually looking for a bumper pull as I’m typing this lol.”

TAKING THE LEAP!

Shea, we’re stoked to see that you took the leap and started your own business, and we are super proud to be part of what you are doing. You’re an inspiration to many out there that are in the same situation you were in, working a job they don’t like just to pay the bills. Here’s to a better future, keep building something great out there Shea!
