There are thousands of hard working Americans all over the country that are using their MAXX-D trailers to move stuff to make a living, and we’re so stoked to share their stories with you!

This week, we’re sharing the story of Derrick Williams with Chasing Dreams Transport.

People like Derrick are making America a better place, not only through military service, but by hauling stuff every day. We want to share these ‘Blue Collar Hauler’ Stories with you all in the hopes that you too will pick up the Blue Collar gauntlet and move stuff to make a living, or if you already do, that you will be encouraged to keep going and build something great out there.

Who are you and where are you from?

“My name is Derrick Williams and I’m from Waycross, Georgia.”

What do you do?

“I am an Active Duty Warrant Officer of 15 years in the US ARMY and own and operate a trucking company called Chasing Dreams Transport.”

How did you get started?

“My military background initially, I drove military equipment for 10 years and always dreamed of owning my own fleet. Being perfectly honest, I did a lot of research on YouTube and following certain individuals on Instagram and studying their content. My father-in-law (Joseph Hall), wife (Shena Williams), and best friend (Nathaniel Johnson) also played a big part in starting this journey.”

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

“Knowing you’re providing goods to an establishment or someone in need, and without you delivering those goods who knows what type of delay or second or third-order effects could take place if you didn’t come through.

I also enjoy changing people’s lives. Providing an opportunity to someone aspiring to be a fleet-owner or just wanting better life for themselves and their families is something money can’t buy.

Another great thing is having the opportunity to show my kid’s that hard work pays off and that anything you want in life is attainable.”

How does your trailer help you get work done?

“The MAXX-D TDX trailer is amazing!!! I bought the trailer to diversify my portfolio; what I mean with that is that I am able to haul/move general freight and vehicles by utilizing the tilt feature and also shipping containers without using any type of material hauling equipment. So far I’ve had the opportunity to move all the freight previously mentioned and have zero complaints.”

First off Derrick, we salute you. Thank you for your continued service, not only in our military, but also in our country by moving stuff across the country to help people make their living. You’re making the world a better place with what you do, and you’re right, hard work does pay off. Keep going man!

Do you have a Blue Collar Hauler story to share with us? We’d be thrilled to tell your story!
