BLUE COLLAR HAULER MADISON SLAGEL

Every day there are honest, hard-working blue collar people out there moving stuff with their MAXX-D trailers to make a living. We believe in these people, and their ability to make their communities, and our country, a better place, one load at a time.

Madison started his blue collar story right out of high school, working for himself at the age of eighteen. He owns and runs his own company, Slagel Excavating, down in Central Texas.

We hope you are inspired by these stories to get out there and haul stuff for a living too. Let’s build something great, guys!

MADISON SLAGEL WITH SLAGEL EXCAVATING!

Who are you and where are you from?

“My name is Madison Slagel and I am from Salado, Texas”

What do you do for a living?

“I own and operate an excavation and septic installation company called Slagel Excavating.”

How did you get started?

“I began working for myself when I was eighteen years old. I bought a skidsteer and some attachments and then grew as the years went on, adding equipment and personnel. My buddy Lynn Renfro helped me tremendously with the ability and know-how to run a business from doing the manual work to the office work that’s also required. We strive to be the most knowledgeable in the industry and continue to learn every day.”

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

“My favorite part about what we do is taking a raw piece of land and building a driveway, house pad and installing a septic; then looking back at the finished product knowing we did the best we could at every job.”

How does your trailer help you get work done?

“The MAXX-D LDX Flatbed Gooseneck Trailer has been a great addition to the fleet. After trying other brands that didn’t last a year without major repair, we came across the MAXX-D brand and it has proven to be a very dependable/quality built trailer. We depend on this trailer weekly to move equipment from job to job and to get it there safely.”
