BLUE COLLAR HAULER CALEB DESJARLAIS

The people that move our country forward are the ones out there in the fray, working hard and getting dirty to build, fix, and grow the stuff we use in our everyday lives.

Caleb got some experience working for his brother before starting his own business doing trash removal. We’re pumped to share his story with you!

We hope you are inspired by these stories to get out there and haul stuff for a living too. Let’s build something great, guys!

CALEB WITH LAKE CITY HAULING

Who are you and where are you from?

“My name is Caleb Desjarlais and I’m from North Idaho.”

What do you do for a living?

“I own a small business called Lake City Hauling. We provide junk removal services, dumpsters rental services & demolition services.”

How did you get started?

“I got started working in the debris hauling industry in 2009 by working for my older brother. I worked with him off and on on over the years and in 2017 I decided to start my own company.”

“Originally when I started my company I had no equipment—just a half-ton pick up and the will to make something happen. After a few years I started buying bigger trucks. Then I worked up to buy bigger more efficient trailers and some small equipment. Over the years I’ve had friends help me get going and I’ve hired a handful of guys to help grow the business.”

“To get traction starting out, I reached out to local companies that offered different types of recycling/disposal to help the environment and figure out ways to reduce the companies expenses/ disposal cost.”

What’s your favorite part of what you do?

“My favorite parts what I do is the fact that we’re always doing something different and always going somewhere new. We get to have face-to-face interactions with amazing people and be someone our customers can count on. I love to make people happy. The cherry on the top is we find a lot of unique treasures.”

How does your trailer help you get work done?

“My MAXX-D ROX Roll-Off Dump Trailer has helped my company grow in so many ways. It’s efficient for our demolition and trash hauling services. We can drop containers on the ground for ease of loading. Additionally it gives us an edge on some of our competitors because with the 20 Yard Dumpsters we are able to haul more material out in one shot. Additionally with our Roll-Off trailer we were able to add dumpster rental services to our business which really helped us grow. My company would not be where it’s at without the MAXX-D Roll-Off Trailer.”
