KYLE AND LORIN PARKINSON WITH GRIZZLYMAXX DUMPSTERS
Who are you and where are you from?
“We are Kyle and Lorin Parkinson, a husband and wife team, and we are from Rigby, Idaho. We were both raised in Idaho, and we love the area and the people that live here. We started our company, GrizzlyMaxx Dumpsters, LLC in September of 2021 with our MAXX-D roll-off setup, and we haven’t looked back!”
What do you do for a living?
“I have worked most of my life on my family’s farm growing wheat, barley, and potatoes. I currently work full-time at the Idaho National Laboratory, help on the farm any time I can, and run around dumpsters for our awesome customers. Lorin works as a dental hygienist part-time, cares for our 3 children, and takes care of payment and scheduling for GrizzlyMaxx. We run GrizzlyMaxx Dumpsters as a side business right now, but we hope to grow it into more than that in the future!”
How did you get started?
“I have always wanted to have my own business, and in the summer of 2021, we decided to make it happen. We got started by first doing a lot of market research and realizing that there was a need for short-term dumpster rentals in our area. There are larger companies that focus on dumpsters for long-term construction projects, so we definitely found a niche in the short-term market.”
“We then researched different manufacturers for roll-off setups and quickly learned that the quality of MAXX-D trailers can’t be beaten. We found a dealer close to us and, lucky for us, a trailer was already in production. We ordered it right away! We put in countless hours of work to brand and market the business, and as soon as the trailer and dumpsters arrived, it took off!”
What’s your favorite part of what you do?
“My favorite part of our business so far has been all the great customers I have gotten to meet and interact with. It’s fun to hear everyone’s story and help them out with their projects. I think that customers are happy when they can meet us face-to-face and realize we are just a small, family-owned business. We love that we can play a small part in helping make someone’s life a little easier.”
How does your trailer help you get work done?
“You can’t beat the peace of mind that comes with knowing that we have quality equipment that we can rely on. With MAXX-D, we are never worried about breaking down, and that is so important when we have customers that are counting on us to help them get the job done!”
