We’re excited to share Scott’s Blue Collar Hauler Story with you and show you how he uses his MAXX-D telescoping dump trailer and gravity tilt trailer to get work done! People like Scott are working hard to make our communities a better place and we want to celebrate that. Let’s get into it!
Who are you and where are you from?
“I’m Scott Grimes and I’m from the town of Lufkin, in East Texas.”
What do you do for a living?
“I own and operate Grimes Services, which is a Tree and Stump Removal Business-We’re based in Lufkin, TX but serve all of East TX.”
How did you get started?
“I worked with a buddy many years ago in the tree business. Now, later on, being a family man and working in the Oilfield and trucking I wanted to be home every night with my family. I decided to open my own business so I could spend more time at home since my kids are growing up fast.
My wife and I started this business last summer. I researched equipment and she researched funding options. MAXX-D offered all of the necessary trailers we needed for our business.”
What’s your favorite part of what you do?
“I love meeting new customers and helping them. I get to make my own hours while doing something I love.”
How do your gravity tilt trailer and dump trailer help you get work done?
“I have two MAXX-D trailers so far. My gravity tilt trailer is perfect for hauling my stump grinder. It’s so easy to get the grinder on and off by myself and not have to worry about ramps. I also have a Maxx-D dump trailer that we use for clean up, hauling equipment and more. I can put my tracker in the telescoping dump trailer to take it to a job, use the tractor to load brush and the cut trees into the trailer to dump them and then load my tractor back up at the end of the job to take it home. Maxx-D trailers make my job so much easier.”

Scott, we’re inspired to see a family man like you get out there and take a risk on running his own business so you can set your own schedule and be with your family more. Family is important, and you’re doing what you need to do to take care of them and spend more time with them, and we love that.
