RICK SCOTT WITH JRS DUMPSTERS!
Blue Collar Haulers all over the country are finding creative ways to serve and bless the communities they are a part of. Rick’s got a lot going on: He’s a family man, a career firefighter, and an entrepreneur that works with real estate and trash removal services using a MAXX-D roll-off dumpster. Here’s his story:
Who are you and where are you from?
“My name is Rick Scott from Danville, Indiana, which is located 35 minutes West of Indianapolis, Indiana.”
What do you do for a living?
“I make my living as a career firefighter for Wayne Township Fire Department, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. I also own and operate J&R Scott Properties LLC as well as JRS Dumpster Rentals.”
How did you get started?
“My start in dumpsters was created from a need. I got tired of the big companies not providing dumpsters in a timely manner and having very poor customer service. I thought to myself, “why can’t I own my own dumpsters”? That question started my search into systems that made sense for my needs.”
“My father told me about a company putting out roll-off dumpster trailers that could be managed with my current truck. I was intrigued and that night the hunt to get my hands on a MAXX-D ROX trailer was on.”
“With the utmost support from my loving wife and my father partnering in on the new business, JRS Dumpster Rentals was born. I took a day trip to Dexter, Kentucky to TPD Trailers and from that moment we haven’t looked back.”
What’s your favorite part of what you do?
“My favorite part of what I get to do with my ROX system is to provide a reliable service to customers when so many big companies forget they are in a business to serve humans. Hauling customers’ trash doesn’t mean they need to be treated as such.”
“I get the opportunity in this business, unlike my property business, to teach my 3 children what it means to work hard and genuinely treat people as they would want to be treated. It’s all made easy with the high-quality product I bought from MAXX-D!”
How does your roll-off dumpster trailer help you get work done?
“The versatility of my ROX trailer allows me to not only haul waste for people, but I now also eliminated the delivery cost for my own properties. I move lumber, equipment, material from big to small, mulch, stone, shingles, if I feel like I can get it in a dumpster that is money saved on my side of the business. Money saved allows me to reinvest in my family’s future.”
