WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
My name is Wyatt Smith and I’m from Boise, Idaho.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
I am the Owner/Operator of Smith’s Dumpster Rental in the Treasure Valley of Idaho. We offer short term dumpster rentals to residential and commercial clients throughout the Valley.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
“I got the idea from social media, as I’m sure a lot of the new guys these days did as well, and Youtube specifically. The idea of this business really caught my attention, and soon after I had a business plan and was searching for equipment.
Although I learned a lot of the basics that you need to know from a couple of guys on Youtube, a LOT of trial and error was my biggest teacher. I was born and raised on a ranch, so pulling/backing a trailer all my life has really helped with running dumpsters..
I found two different gentlemen on social media who both run very successful dumpster rental companies and they have been the biggest help to me. I’m sure they are tired of me messaging them, ALWAYS asking questions.”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WHAT YOU DO?
“My favorite part of my job is the people I get to meet and just listening to their stories. This business has allowed me to meet and network with a lot of people from all different types of backgrounds.”
HOW DOES YOUR MAXX-D DUMPSTER RENTAL TRAILER HELP YOU GET WORK DONE?
“My MAXX-D 14’ Roll Off Trailer is the foundation of my business and the reason why I have continued to grow. My trailer runs dumpsters day and night, and does it well. This is definitely the toughest trailer I have been around, and I am glad I chose MAXX-D.
I bought my trailer and all the dumpsters I currently own from Farm Country Sales in Hazelton, ID. They are about 2 hours away, but that’s a lot better than the 5 hours for the next MAXX-D Dealer.”
