WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

We are Alex and Marisa Zavala. Marisa and I have been married for 29 years and we have raised two Men and have a grandson and another grandchild on the way. Marisa is originally from Albuquerque and I’m originally from Los Angeles. We have dedicated our lives to our Family. Even when our lives get crazy we still have family dinner every Sunday.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?

Marisa and I have built many businesses together and have just started our roll-off dumpster business a few months ago and have been very busy. Marisa is a Realtor and we found a need in Albuquerque with the roll-off business. With many family members in the military, we proudly support our armed forces.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

With Marisa being a Realtor we found that people need dumpsters for renovations, remodeling, and basic cleaning. So we decided to research dumpsters and quickly found ourselves looking at MAXX-D trailers with roll-off dumpsters. Marisa had a great idea of naming the dumpsters after our four-legged family members. Our very own family dog that recently passed is where we came up with the name Scrapy Bins. Ollie our dog that was half Chihuahua reminded us of Scrappy Doo from our childhood cartoon, because he was always ready to fight dogs 3X his size. He never backed down.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WHAT YOU DO?

Everyone has a story and it’s very interesting meeting new people and hearing their experiences and why they need a dumpster. We have dumped basic household trash, reconstruction materials, and even a sewing machine/vacuum cleaner company cleaned out their storage room.

HOW DOES YOUR MAXX-D TRAILER HELP YOU GET WORK DONE?

MAXX-D has made a great product and its 22K Warrior winch is amazing - it literally does all the heavy lifting for you. My biggest regret when ordering our trailer is we didn’t get the automatic tarp system. We have owned many bumper tow trailers, car haulers, and enclosed trailers, but as a gooseneck, this is our first and we absolutely love it.

WHAT MAXX-D DEALER DID YOU BUY FROM?

Las Cruces, NM is a southern New Mexico town about three hours south of Albuquerque. That’s where we found Larry Blake at AG Goodman Trailers. Larry was very professional and helped us out tremendously. Being our first gooseneck this trailer towed like a dream. The workmanship of MAXX-D is amazing wireless remote works flawlessly!
