Bryce Schopmeyer

Bryce is a family guy through and through and he's out there setting an example for his kids by working hard, owning his time, and doing good for his community. It's guys like Bryce we're proud to build trailers for.

Let's get on to Bryce's story.

WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Bryce Schopmeyer from Bowling Green, Indiana. Owner and operator of The Farm & Co. Dirt Worx & roll of dumpster rentals.

The Farm & Co. Dirt Worx

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?

The Farm & Co. Dirt Worx is an excavation, land clearing, forestry mulching, and demolition company that is family-owned and operated here in Bowling Green, Indiana. We also own a storefront on our farm where my wife hand-makes and designs interior home decor. We have a CNC plasma machine for making custom metal signs as well as a CO2 laser on the farm that is used for multiple aspects of our businesses. I left my full-time career at a Caterpillar heavy equipment dealership of nine years to come home and work side-by-side with my wife in 2017. As things grew, I was ready to venture back out into the heavy equipment side and that’s when the Farm & Co. Dirt Worx was born. This is my third year in business and things continue to grow every year.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

The Farm & Co. Dirt Worx was started three years ago when I was looking to do something 2 to 3 days a week besides from the laser and plasma table, making signs for my wife’s business. We quickly found out that with a good solid reputation and worth ethic that the business would grow rapidly . There was lots of folks involved to help get things going. Number one was my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My wife and family have always been there behind me every step of the way. I’ve always been somewhat of a leader, so most of my research was done by myself and the school of hard knocks just giving it all I have to make it work.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WHAT YOU DO?

My favorite part of what I do is getting to serve and work in my community. I also enjoy just the freedom of being my own boss, growing the business & being an example to my two boys & getting to drive around and look at jobs that have been completed and know that I did that.

HOW DOES YOUR MAXX-D TRAILER HELP YOU GET WORK DONE?

My MAXX-D 21K RPX Roll-Off dumpster trailer keeps things moving and is designed and built to handle even the toughest task. My favorite feature on the MAXX-D trailer is definitely the Tuff wireless remote system. That system is hands-down, the best wireless system on the market for any trailer manufacturer.

Being able to operate the winch hoist and tarp system all from within the seat of the truck has been a complete game changer and saves so much time. In general, it helps speed the day up when running multiple units. I did some custom fabrication to my trailer to be able to accept both 16-foot RPX bins as well as the 14-foot ROX bins.

I did my research before buying the trailer and knew that I wanted to have multiple sizes of bins but not multiple trailers. So I bought the biggest and baddest trailer MAXX-D had to offer knowing that I was going to modify it and make it accept both bin sizes. It’s been great and it’s been a huge benefit to the business being able to offer multiple dumpster options for my customers. I currently have six bins in my fleet and would like to have 20 to 30 as a complete fleet if things continue to grow like they have in the short time that I’ve been involved with the roll-off business.

WHICH MAXX-D DEALER DID YOU BUY FROM?

I purchased my MAXX-D RPX trailer and bins from Spencer Trailer Sales in Spencer, Indiana. Gary and Brian Key and all of the Key family & employees are awesome people to work with. I have purchased multiple trailers from them and they are always there to back me every step of the way. They take care of any issues or problems that may arise, in a timely manner. If you’re in the Indiana, Illinois, or Kentucky area and looking to purchase a trailer be sure to look these guys up. Spencer Trailer Sales keeps a huge selection of everything from enclosed to heavy-duty flatbed gooseneck trailers all in stock and ready to roll.

20-30 bins in the future? #goals

Wow. 6 bins already and more to come. That's impressive. It sounds like Bryce is really serving his community, and one look at his Instagram account shows he's doing good work that he and his family can be proud of. And if you haven't read a feel-good story in a while, we recommend this one.

The trailer Bryce uses is the MAXX-D RPX with RPX and ROX bins.
